With an impressive range of equipment – which includes a fleet of 150-ton Terex, Komatsu and Sany rigid dump trucks, Cat 777B haul trucks, excavators such as the Cat 5110 and Komatsu PC1250, rock-breakers, track-dozers, 20,000 litre water bowsers and other support machinery – LAC is equipped to handle Mining load and haul contracts efficiently, professionally and cost-effectively.
The LAC Mining load and haul operation is equipped to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
LAC has recently completed contracts for pit and ramp development on the new Foskor pyroxenite open pit mine. Rock faces were drilled and blasted at a depth of 15 metres. The blasted ore was loaded and hauled to Palabora Mining Company’s primary crusher on behalf of the client. Ore is also strategically stockpiled and waste is hauled to designated dump sites.
Dyke recovery for batch plant operations is routine, and strategic stockpiling is a core operation. LAC has enormous experience and an excellent track-record in load and haul operations.
